Behind the scenes

​Having attended film school together,
Estelle Abou (writer / director) and I placed a heavy focus on the production design for her short film Traveler.
​
Having been well traveled, Estelle desired a colourful environment for her lead character Zoe.
Wondrous and magical were the chosen words in pre production.

For Zoe’s room we were faced with the challenge
of a white wall, no painting allowed and a budget of $40.
Given the limitations I created mountains of DeSerres textured paper, Dollorama sparkles, spray paint and tissue paper.

The result was textured magical mountains
​to inspire Zoe’s traveling dreams.
